A Veteran-Focused Coffee Franchise
Black Rifle Coffee Company was founded a decade ago by Evan Hafer, a military veteran. Before debuting Black Rifle, Hafer served in the military for 20 years, spending 15 years in special forces as a Green Beret with the 19th Special Forces Group. He also did contract work for the CIA.
Black Rifle’s mission is to serve high-quality coffee to “people who love America.” Some of its top-selling coffees are Freedom Fuel Roast and AK Espresso. Black Rifle strives to hire veterans to its team and gives a portion of every purchase to charity. Its BRCC Fund was established in 2021 to support veterans, first responders, and their families, and environmental conservation.
The company launched a $1.7 billion IPO in 2022 to grow its subscription coffee business and add new locations, according to the World Coffee Portal. At the end of 2023, Black Rifle had 18 company-owned and multiple franchise locations. But Black Rifle Coffee franchise expansion is on hold to allow it to open company shops and work with franchisees in existing markets.

Under their leadership, the chain expanded throughout Utah and neighboring states. To fuel momentum, Gretzema joined our team in 2023 as CEO, bringing nearly three decades of experience in multi-unit restaurant leadership. He was previously brand president at Del Taco, overseeing 600 locations.
Training and support: As part of your initial investment ranging from $518,500 to $761,500, we provide comprehensive training and support. We assist with everything from site selection to shop setup, as well as operations guidance and marketing support. We aim to give franchisees more value than they receive from other brands.
Multiple real-estate formats: Our franchisees can choose the type of real-estate format they’d like to open based on location and traffic patterns. We offer standalone, inline, and kiosk-style opportunities.
